Huddlestone: midfielder has won three England caps.
Injury blow for Huddlestone
Tottenham have confirmed that midfielder Tom Huddlestone will remain on the sidelines for the rest of the season following surgery on an ankle injury.
The 25-year-old has only made four outings for the White Hart Lane club this campaign but now needs a further operation to recover from damage to his ligaments.
The club said: “The midfielder has progressed well since his initial surgery.
"The specialist has determined that the anticipated reconstruction of a lateral ankle ligament is the next step towards the England international making a return to full fitness."
Huddlestone still remains focussed on his recovery and said on Twitter: “My main objective is to make sure I'm 100% for pre-season."
In the continued absence of their midfield man, Spurs are a best-price 3/10 with 188Bet, Coral and Stan James to emerge victorious at Stevenage in the FA Cup on Sunday. Boro are a standout 21/2 with Bwin.
