Beckford and Nugent celebrate Leicester's winner at Norwich
Seven-year itch for Gunners
On a day when two high-profile managers were thrust firmly under the microscope in the FA Cup, things couldn't really have gone much worse for Arsene Wenger or Andre Villas-Boas.
Arsenal were beaten 2-0 in the evening kick-off at Sunderland to compound a miserable week for the Frenchman on the back of Tuesday's disastrous 4-0 reverse at AC Milan in the Champions League.
Kieran Richardson's deflected drive and an own-goal from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain enabled the Black Cats to land odds 19/10 with Paddy Power. Martin O'Neill's men were 50/1 to lift the trophy before the third round but are now no better than 7/1 after reaching the last eight for the first time in eight years.
Meanwhile, Chelsea were the day's biggest coupon-buster at odds of 1/3 as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Birmingham at Stamford Bridge.
The Championship visitors grabbed an early lead when David Murphy capitalised on some woeful defending at a corner and a headed equaliser from Daniel Sturridge just after the hour was all that the Londoners could muster in response as they left the field to a chorus of boos.
Chants for Jose Mourinho were audible from the home supporters to compound the frustration that Villas-Boas must be feeling and Chelsea have drifted from 7/2 out to 5/1 in the outright betting ahead of a difficult replay at St Andrew's.
Leicester were the day's biggest winners. They landed general odds of 10/3 by winning 2-1 at Norwich with goals from Sean St Ledger and David Nugent.
Results: Chelsea 1-1 Birmingham, Everton 2-0 Blackpool, Millwall 0-2 Bolton, Norwich 1-2 Leicester, Sunderland 2-0 Arsenal
