Leeds manager Neil Warnock has revealed he is excited about the challenge awaiting him at Elland Road.

The former Crystal Palace and QPR manager was confirmed as United manager over the weekend, and he is delighted to be back in management just six weeks after being sacked at QPR.

"It is exciting to be back and it is even more so to be at a genuine, big club like Leeds United," said Warnock. "I reckon Leeds are the fourth or fifth biggest club in the country."

"I honestly haven't got a clue what we can achieve. If you'd seen the first half against Doncaster on Saturday, you'd have said, 'Let's avoid relegation'. If you saw the second, you'd say, 'Let's go for it'. We've got some good players, and the crowd is an extra player."

Warnock secured promotion from the Championship last season at Loftus Road, and Betfred are offering 12/1 on him repeating the feat at Elland Road this term.

His first match in the Leeds dugout will be on Saturday as United travel to Fratton Park to face Portsmouth, and William Hill are best-priced at 8/5 about a Leeds win, while Boylesports offer 7/4 on a home victory.
